Position: PACU Registered Nurse

Location: Houston, TX

Shift: 8:00 AM – 5 PM, 5 days per week

Dress Code: Scrubs of any color

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled PACU RN to provide post-surgical care in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting. The PACU RN will monitor and care for patients recovering from surgical procedures, ensuring safe and effective recovery while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage post-surgical patients in the PACU, including vital signs, airway, pain control, and overall recovery.
• Assess and respond to changes in patient status promptly.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions as appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and recovery.
• Assist with procedures as needed, including minor interventions in the recovery area.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Registered Nurse License in the state of Texas
• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing
• Previous PACU experience preferred.
• Cardiovascular (CV) experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
